| The significance of the colour of this belt: |
|
White signifies innocence, as that of the beginning student who has no previous knowledge of Tae Kwon Do.
|
Black is the opposite of white, signifying both maturity and proficiency in Tae Kwon Do. It
also symbolises the wearer's imperviousness to darkness and fear.
